What a Kidney Transplant Means for You or a Loved One

HHRI investigators Warren McKinney, PhD, and Ajay Israni, MD, MS, were guests on the African American Leadership Forum’s (AALF) Black Leadership Re-Defined radio show and podcast series on KMOJ (89.9FM) radio on March 7.  They joined host Sylvia Bartley, PhD, to discuss the intricacies of kidney transplantation as well as the strides being made for racial equity for organ transplants.

Dr. Bartley is Senior Global Director for the Medtronic Foundation and a Board Member of the AALF.  The AALF mobilizes and activates dynamic groups of committed and passionate African Americans to influence the social, economic and political landscape that impacts our daily lives.
