AAHRPP Awards Hennepin Healthcare Full Reaccreditation

On March 18, 2019 Hennepin Healthcare was notified by the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP) that it has been awarded full reaccreditation of its research program involving human participants for an additional five-year period. AAHRPP accreditation verifies that an organization follows rigorous standards for ethics, quality, and protections for human research.

Hennepin Healthcare has been accredited by AAHRPP since 2011, and in the last week of October 2018 we underwent our routine five-year reaccreditation site visit. The site visit report noted several strengths of our program, mentioning specifically the supportive and collaborative environment, and stable, well-integrated compliance infrastructure. We intend to leverage these strengths to further enhance our research compliance and community outreach programs involving human participants.

We feel encouraged by this outcome and want to extend our appreciation to all of the members of our community who participate in the hard-work and commitment necessary to accomplish this important achievement.
